Please join us for our Employment Law “Hot Topics” & Health Care Reform Act Seminar. We will provide a review of current employment law updates; discuss the interplay among ADA, FMLA and Florida Workers’ Compensation Act; and discuss the Health Care Reform Act - how will health care reform impact employers and employees, including a timeline of changes through 2014 and beyond!
*Note that HRCI credits have been approved for 3.0 hours of PHR, SPHR, GPHR.
Our Presenters
Angelo M. Filippi, Esq. Head of Employment & Labor Law, Kelley Kronenberg, et al., Fort Lauderdale
Angelo received his BA from New York University and his JD from St. John’s School of Law. He was recently appointed by the Broward County Commission to serve on its Human Relations Board. He is also a member of the EEOC’s Employer Advisory Counsel. He previously served as a Committee Chair for HRABC and the Employment Law Section of the Florida Bar.
Timothy A. Dunbrack, Esq. Managing Partner, Kelley Kronenberg, et al., Orlando
Tim graduated from Boston University in 1990 and received his J.D. in 1993 from Nova Law Center. He was admitted to the Florida Bar that same year and to the U.S. District Court, Southern District, in 1994. He’s an AV rated attorney who has been practicing law for nearly 15 years. Tim lectures frequently to members of industry in the areas of prevention and protection against Workers’ Compensation claims.
Brian S. Bartley, Esq. Managing Partner, Kelley Kronenberg, et al., Fort Myers
Brian graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Miami with a B.A. in Political Science in 1991 and then attended the University of Miami School of Law where he served as Research and Symposium Editor for the Inter-American Law Review. He graduated cum laude in 1996 and is a member of the Florida Bar Workers’ Compensation Section. He practices exclusively in the areas of Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury.
Reni Snider, GBDS Benefits Specialist - Lykes Insurance, Inc
Reni is a Benefits Specialist for individual, small and large group benefits at Lykes Insurance Agency’s Winter Park location. Reni started her career in the insurance industry negotiating contracts from a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO). This experience gave her a unique insight into the carrier/provider relationship prior to moving into a role representing the buyer. She has 8 years experience in the Health Benefits field and has earned the designation of Group Benefits Disability Specialist (GBDS). Reni has also spearheaded Wellness Programs for many of our clients.
